  Definitely my favorite cafe on Main Street for food/coffee and as a study spot.  
  
  Coffee is average, but cheap compared to other options.  Food (especially the sandwiches) are above average in quality and quantity - also fairly priced.  They have other nice snack options that range from apples+PB to chips.
  
  There are a large number of outlets that are accessible at each table, which is greatly appreciated (rare for cafes on Main Street).  The tables are also large, so you can have a laptop, notebook, textbook, etc. out without feeling cramped.  It's a bit louder than other spots, but not too overpowering.  
  
  Everything is made to order and service is friendly.  Central Perk deserves more business than it currently gets and I highly recommend.

  Pretty awful service. I ordered a Taylor ham egg and cheese, a turkey bacon ham egg and avocado and a coffee. Somehow they did not ring up one of the breakfast sandwiches and which I found out when the food came out: only one sandwich. After this the cashier vouched I did order it but another man behind the counter said it didn't come up so I was told to order again and I would get a discount. No discount and super late food. Unfortunate to get same order at very different times with no accountability for their mistake.

  Our visit was disappointing to say the least. As soon as we walked in we knew we were in for an experience. The place was filthy and completely empty spare the staff at around noon on a Sunday. You would think with some down time they could be cleaning up all the grounds spilled on the floor or wiping down some tables but the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.
  
  Atmosphere was depressing, looked like someone with no experience tried their hand at some DIY perhaps while moderately intoxicated. There were unfinished 2x4s just drilled to the wall and bare surge protectors dangling from the walls.
  
  The staff were also cold. We were literally the only ones in the restaurant. I understand if it's not their policy to bring food to the table when ready but they didn't even call our number or anything. The gentleman who took our order just mumbled something and stared at us, I had to do a double take to realize he was trying to indicate to us that our food was ready.
  
  We will not be back especially with so many alternatives on Main Street. Spare yourselves the disappointment and go to Hot Bagels (The Original), Newark Deli Bagel, Brewed Awakenings or Drip instead.

  How does this place make money? I was meeting a business acquaintance for a cup of coffee and a conversation. When I arrived, every table (except one) was occupied by students working on their computers. The majority didn't have drinks or food on their tables.
  
  I grabbed the empty table and brought a chair over from another table.
  
  A young lady walked in, made a bee line to the empty chair at my table grabbed it and started to walk away. I told her I was waiting for someone.
  
  She went to another table, sat down and started working (without buying anything). I feel bad for the owners of this place. It appears the kids treat it like a library when they can get coffee if they desire.
  
  It is also pretty loud, so we did have a hard time communicating over the din. And yes, we both ordered coffee and food, so we "paid" for our seats.

  If i could give this place zero and call the health inspectors i would. This place was so beyond dirty. The floors, the tables, the counter, the coffee station. Full of dust, dirt and something making everything just sticky. When we came in there was not a single person in the place and they yelled our order - it was bizarre. Not to mention since no one was in here they could have been cleaning? Don't go. If you value your stomach and the plans you have set for the day - don't go.
